Terms and Conditions
1. About Us
These Terms and Conditions apply between you (“you” or “the customer”) and Uber Vans Ltd trading as Absolute Vans (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are registered in England and Wales (Company No. 10166856) with our registered office at Ty Cynon House, Navigation Park, Abercynon, CF45 4SN.
We act as a credit broker, not a lender, and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority through Automotive Compliance Ltd (FCA No. 497010).
2. Acceptance of Terms
By paying a holding deposit, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions, intend to proceed with your vehicle order, and are entering into a legally binding agreement (subject to vehicle sourcing and finance approval).
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always apply.
3. Website Information
All content on our website, including pricing, images, specifications and descriptions, is provided for general guidance only and does not form part of any contract.
While we aim to keep all information accurate and up to date, errors may occur. We are not liable for any loss arising from incorrect or incomplete website content.
4. Pricing
Prices are typically exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Pricing may vary depending on the finance provider and your eligibility. Prices and quotations may be withdrawn or amended at any time before a contract is finalised.
In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to correct or withdraw the quotation.
5. Quotations
All quotations are based on the information you provide and may be withdrawn, amended, or declined at any time. Quotations do not form a binding contract until confirmed by us.
You are responsible for ensuring that all requirements and specifications are accurate.
6. Orders and Contract Formation
Submitting an order does not automatically create a contract. A contract is only formed when we confirm we can source your vehicle, a price is agreed, and your finance agreement is approved and active.
We supply new, pre-registered and used vehicles. You are responsible for ensuring the vehicle specification meets your requirements.
7. Finance Applications
By submitting a finance application, you agree that we may share your details with selected lenders, credit and fraud prevention checks will be carried out, and you will provide accurate and complete information.
If applying on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
8. Deposit
A minimum deposit of £1,000 is required to secure your order.
If you cancel or fail to complete the purchase without a valid legal reason, we may retain all or part of your deposit and recover reasonable costs (including storage, depreciation, or modifications). Any surplus will be refunded and any shortfall must be paid by you.
9. Documentation
All required documentation must be completed and approved before delivery can be arranged. Delays in providing correct documentation may result in delivery delays.
10. Delivery
Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We shall not be liable for any delays or for any loss or damage arising from such delays. Vehicles will not be delivered until any applicable finance cooling-off period has expired.
Delivery is typically included within mainland Great Britain; however, additional charges may apply depending on the delivery location or vehicle specification. Any such charges will be communicated to you in advance.
Where a vehicle includes bespoke styling options (including those advertised by Absolute Vans), it may be transported between multiple locations prior to delivery. In such cases, complimentary delivery may not be available, but delivery can still be arranged subject to additional charges.
Upon delivery, you are required to inspect the vehicle and record any visible damage at the point of handover. By accepting delivery, you confirm that the vehicle is in satisfactory condition, conforms to the agreed specification, and includes all requested items, features, and accessories unless otherwise noted. We shall not be responsible for any damage or discrepancies not recorded at the time of delivery.
You acknowledge that minor cosmetic imperfections may occur during transit, including but not limited to stone chips, light surface marks, or minor increases in mileage due to transportation. Such matters are considered normal and unavoidable and shall not constitute a defect or give rise to any claim against us.
11. Storage
If you do not take delivery within 7 days of being notified that your vehicle is ready, we may store the vehicle at your cost.
12. Part Exchange
If you provide a part exchange vehicle, its valuation is based on the information you provide and it must match the description given. All required documentation must be supplied.
We are not responsible for changes in value, undisclosed damage, or missing documentation.
13. Cancellation
To cancel your order, you must notify us in writing. Cancellation may result in loss of deposit and charges for any costs we have incurred.
Your statutory rights, including those under consumer and finance legislation, are not affected.
14. Warranty and Accessories
Some accessories and styling options are sourced from third-party suppliers. We are not responsible for their performance or any indirect consequences of their use.
Where applicable, manufacturer warranties will apply. Certain dealer fit items include a 12-month or 20,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first). Warranty claims may require inspection at our premises and may be declined in cases of misuse, damage, or environmental factors.
15. Complaints
We are committed to providing a high level of customer service. If you are dissatisfied, please refer to our complaints procedure available on our website. We will aim to resolve any issues promptly and fairly.
16. General
We may receive commission from finance providers for introductions. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
